The new season of the 2022 FIA World Rally Championship will be even tougher and more interesting. As we enter the new hybrid era, rally fans will see new Rally1 cars equipped with a wealth of electronic equipment. Here’s why only the cream of rally drivers will turn up for the challenge call at the January Monte Carlo Rally. Here are why only the cream of rally drivers will come together to receive the challenge call for the Monte Carlo Rally from 20 to 23 January. Here we are with the list of eye-catching WRC driver line-up for 2022.
Sebastien Ogier will remain in the WRC line-up, but as a part-time driver.
Just before the epic end of the FIA WRC 2021, it became clear that the next one would be even hotter. In almost all rally teams, a real personal turmoil began. Sure enough!
Seven-time WRC champion Sebastian Ogier has announced that he will remain in the FIA WRC, but with a part-time job. This means that the place of the strongest on the podium will be free.
Sebastien Ogier is the man you can hardly outwit. In the mountains, in the sand, in the woods and even on the water, he literally merges with the rally car into one whole. His co-driver Julien Ingrassia conjures spells like a magician and sets the rally route for Toyota Yaris to take off like a rocket. Here, where Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville stumbles and teammate in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Elfyn Evans flies at incredible speed, Sebastian Ogier finds more and more seconds faster and erases the smiles from the faces of the competitors.
Toyota WRC drivers 2022
“It changes everything”- that’s what Elfyn Evans and perhaps Kalle Rovanpera thought first and we are in complete agreement. In this situation Elfyn Evans has every chance of becoming the new champion in the FIA WRC 2022. Besides Elfyn and his co-driver Scott Martin, Toyota WRc has also strengthened with Esapekka Lappi and his co-driver Janne Ferm. The young Fin Star Kalle Rovanpera will take a place with Jonne Halttunen. Sebastien Ogier, a part-time Toyota driver, will still be competing in iconic rallies. Following the announcement that his paths with co-driver Julien Ingrassia will be parted after 16 years of incredible partnership, fans will be bitterly saddened. Sebastien Ogier will be working with Benjamin Veillas in the WRC driver line-up 2022. So he is already ready to compete in the Monte Carlo Rally on 20 January Rally.
Hyundai Motorsport’ driver line-up 2022.
Hyundai Motorsport finished second in the 2021 WRC Manufacturers’ Championship.
Despite the sudden change at the top, the WRC driver line-up 2022 squad will not change dramatically. However, according to Dirtfish, the team has the best driver line-up and we agreed – as always. That means Hyundai Motorsport will be fighting for the title with even more gusto. It’s no fun to gave the title to Toyota Gazoo Racing under the leadership of young upstart Jari-Matti Latvala!
Thierry Neuville and the co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe, Ott Tanak and Martin Jarveoja as well as other crew Dani Sordo and Candido Carrera will compete in Hyundai Motorsport combat vehicles. Contrary to expectations, Craig Breen will not be behind the wheel of the Hyundai Rally car. Oliver Solberg joins the team. But beware, Breen does not have time to be sad. He already works fully with Paul Nagle, but already as part of M-Sport Ford.
M-Sport Ford WRC drivers 2022.
Believe it or not, sometimes miracles happen, that’s the fact. Even M-Sport Ford has not fulfilled the hopes of the rally fans, but the hopes that the team has set for 2022. Just look at the driver line-up. So our legend Sebastien Loeb will compete in the FIA World Rally Championship and we hope he will lead other drivers out of their comfort zone. It’s also a pleasure to see Craig Breen and Adrien Fourmax. Furthermore, young star Gus Greensmith promises to exceed the limit and even try out the power in the battle for the championship. Well, we also agree, because M-Sport Ford has earned the good positions in the overall classification.
As you can see, the WRC driver line-up 2022 has changed in an interesting way. Sebastien Ogier’s part-time career paves the way for the new WRC champion, but for whom? To well-deserved Thierry Neuville or perhaps to the national star Ott Tanak? Or to flying Elfyn Evans, who never gives up, driving on as fast as rally fans can dream of?
Or will something change with the brand new magic Rally1 cars and we will see the comeback of M-Sport Ford? Impossible to predict – this is the aim of the new season of the FIA World Rally Championship 2022, in which only the cream of rally drivers will show the best. Furthermore, the WRC calendar 2022 will also be a pleasure for rally fans from all over the world.
