F1 Austria schedule: nontraditional Grand Prix

 F1 Austria schedule

We’d been counting weeks and days, hours, and minutes before the Formula 1 Grand Prix starts while FIA doing confirmation for Formula 1 2020 calendar. And finally, we waited! The Austrian Grand Prix will start tomorrow. But something tells that this F1 Grand Prix will be held quite unconventional. Let’s look at the F1 Austria’s schedule and generally see how Formula 1 race will going to go now during the world pandemic’s end.

09:00 – 12:30 Formula 1 Team Track Walks
14:00 – 17:35 Formula 1 Press Conference

Perfect is a word that describes Formula 1 very well. Therefore, the safety terms and conditions will be perfect in Austria.

Masks, gloves, sanitizers have become our necessary parts – the main clothing during this time. There will a lot on the Red Bull Ring circuit: everywhere in every  F1 team’s box at the entrance and exit at the bottom and top.

17:55 – 18:40 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Practice Session
All this will affect work time: all safety measures will take more time for circuit’ staff and F1 teams. Another key is the social distance: the “social bubble” where Formula 1 teams will be located, this term changes the rules of the F1 game. Now we are without the awarding ceremony, all congestion of people will be regulated in the name of a social bubble. No matter, drivers or journalists or engineers.  As you know, the entire staff has been reduced on several times.

No matter how simple the F1 Austrian Grand Prix’ schedule is, it is still only for a limited number of people, not for fans. The stands of Austria will be empty. So now there are no additional activities, but a lot of press conferences.

But wait to be sad ahead of time, we still will go to any F1 GP. New opportunities open up for fans, but virtual-only. As you can see, Formula one is becoming more and more professional, for dedicated fans. Yes, we will not see the activities of F1 promoters, even don’t smell  f1 cars tires, but we’ll be in the epicenter of events from our phones and laptops.

Do you remember all those changes in the rules: Grid Girls story, F1 logo’s changing? That time everything was aimed at attracting new F1 fans. So, the next six months will be exactly the opposite: you and I, there will be fewer of us, but we will understand Formula 1 in every detail: of the track, F1 car, speed, time, conditions. IS it good or bad…Who cares!  The main thing is that the Austrian Grand Prix starts!

By the way, you can look at the confirmed first eight races here, and yes, Formula 1 isn’t going anywhere, the next racing weekend will be here again at Red Bull ring Austria July 11-12.
