Bahrain Grand Prix Track InformationBahrain Grand Prix is unique because of the nature of its track. The track stands at 5.412 kilometers in distance making it the 11th longest track on the 2018 Formula 1 calendar. Apart from being one of the longest tracks, it also has some unique features.
Bahrain track has fifteen corners. The forecast lap time for a current Grand Prix car on this track is estimated at 1min 30.252 seconds at an average speed of 213 km/h. Although this track has some unique features, it still has a lot of things in common with most modern circuits.
You will most likely see the long straights and slow corners on this track. The Race track was designed by German architect Herman Tilke. You should also know that this is the same architect that designed the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. A longer version of the track was created and used in 2010; however, it was proved to be unpopular and therefore was not used again after just a single race.
Bahrain Grand Prix circuit has a unique problem. Due to its proximity to the desert, organizers were worried that the sand would blow onto the circuit while drivers are racing and disrupt the race. However, this problem was tackled by spraying an adhesive on the sand around the track to keep them in place during the event.
